excellent tool! wonderful idea. learning without boredom. very musical. I only wish he would transpose the book for Eb instruments so I won't have to. On the other hand if you learn the materials in ALL KEYS you won't need another book! Thank you Mr Mintzer!. Cool tunes, but too pricey. The funk etudes are sooo cheesy. But luckily he's got some good solos to practice memorizing odd diatonic scales. Usually after once listening through, I could normally almost nail each song. That's not true for this book. Thank goodness I finally found something that's a challenge! But too bad it was nearly 30 bucks. I expected more, but I'm not disappointed.. Thomas H. Pickard said great reading practice material. Got this one and his jazz and funk. This one is loads of fun but the jazz and funk is bey0ond my capabilities. Fun to groove on and lets you get some new harmnonic ideas
