It contains great information on writing lyrics. If only it had some more info on the music part of songwriting. The stories are funny and entertaining and the information is . "equally good and bad" according to A Customer. well, this book is good in how it shows you some of the basic mechanics of songwriting. so this book is good if you are looking to be a songwriter. if you are an artist, it will probably be both seductive and repulsive at the same time. so get it, read it, take the parts you like and use it. and as for the rest, well, you know the saying love thy enemy.. "After reading this book ,everything looks so obvious" according to Johan Vorster. There is a saying, the obvious is only obvious once it becomes known. This is the case here. While reading the book I said to myself this is so obvious mistakes that one often make - however it was not so obvious until I saw the common wrongs and how to right them.
