leaves one longing for "moore" Amazon Customer I read this book in a sitting, admittedly skimming certain parts.Although I am a big MTM fan, it whetted my appetite without satiating methere is definitely a vague "arm's length" quality to this book noted by previous reviewersMTM obviously suffered from a lack of connection with either of her parents as well as a lack of any kind of spiritual connectionI found the "vegetarian" chapter oddly placed and suspect readers might be more interested in how she keeps such an enviable . "Charming, honest, and as loveable as MTM herself" according to E. Browning. Wonderful book; I hated to get to the end. MTM was one of my earliest TV heroes for her gutsy and athletic performances on the Dick Van Dyke show and, later, her own Mary Tyler Moore show. Somehow she always managed to bring out the best talents of those around her while also maintaining her own sparkling presence. That iconic moment when she threw her cap in the air (intro to the MTM Show) symbolized so much for me. So it was with some trepidation that I picked up her autobio. "Okay book with one big flaw" according to Mike. After All is an okay book-- some wonderful information/insight about the making of the film Ordinary People.BUT Ms. Moore's narcissism gets in the way-- her obsession with herself is tiring and how LIFE revolves only around her.
