Jay Versluis said Almost too much detail - but not about the stuff we want to know. I bought this book because it alleged that rare interviews with Donald Fagen and session musicians may give us a detailed report about how this album came to be. Sadly we don't really get that: Breithaupt does supply the occasional quote, but in a context of his own narrative, which is at times very heavy going. He tells us a lot about the state of the music industry at the time of Aja's release though, often very philosophically, which I found interesting. How much the industry has changed! At the same time, the author picks each track apart chord by chord and. Five Stars B. Lumkin great for the die hard fan. Jennifer Lucas said Brilliant!.
