The good, the bad, and the ugly. Frankie Yankovic has always been my favorite old-time band. I have at least 10 of his albums, then I bought the same ones again on CD, and even bought a few MP3s. My iTunes library has more F. Y. than any other old-time band. (I say 'old-time' because here in Minnesota that means polkas and waltzs. In other parts of the country, it may mean old style country music).I bought the book because I just like getting close to the man and the music. The book shows he was human, but holy cow, being on the road 325 days a year, year in and year out, super human at least!Dolg. "I think they'd like this book because it's a man and his passion" according to Desert Rose. Very interesting read! This book so should be made into a filmand not a comedy either! Frankie Yankovic's story I think would be a compelling one. Even if one doesn't care for Polka music, I think they'd like this book because it's a man and his passion to make something of his life and for that alone it's inspiring..
