Overall, the best movie music compilation I've seen KounterPoint After Hal Leonard has released book after book of "great movie music" (pop songs that play during the end credits of blockbusters) they finally got it right with a book of music that was actually a significant part of the movies it came from. The movies were selected by the American Film Institute (AFI), and Hal Leonard provided the selections f. "Loved this book!" according to Barbara A. Robinson. While I am a violinist, I went ahead and ordered this piano book because it contained pieces that I could not find for violin. I am so pleased to be able to play the arrangements for "Vertigo" and "To Kill a Mockingbird". "Wonderful Pieces" according to J. Miller. I teach piano and use these pieces for several levels. The editor has created a book with pieces which appeal to intermediate, late-intermediate, and advanced students. Whether you are a student, teacher, and/or just enjoy playing wonderful arrangements of Film music, this is it! I especially enjoy the arrangement of Ben Hur's theme.
