Dirty Old Man It's very rare for me to read a book in one sitting especially deep into the night and early hours of the morning, but this one had me hooked and the pace defied real-time.Not only is it a remarkable and jaw dropping story, that should never have been possible to happen in this day and age, but it shows the reader how and why it all came about and was concluded without actually explaining it. It's all there embedded inside an incredible girls recollection and insight of what and why she was going through.To those readers who comment like. I did not find her parents that bad, but then I did not live with them This story takes place in England which makes some difference in thinking and actions. I give the author credit for admitting that some ofher problems were caused by her actions with her parents and family. I did not find her parents that bad, but then I did not live with them.I did find her life after leaving her parents to be intolerable and did not understand her continued acceptance to abuse and living under the conditions she did. I realize she was young, but not that young, age 16. I can't imagine this story taking place in America. Highly recommended. I would have read this in one sitting but I had things to do I couldn't blow off. I've read a lot of stories like this, but for some reason this one had a much stronger effect on me than others. I would recommend it to anyone.
