There are many good ones out there but Elegant Soul is, by far, my very favorite. Okay, I met Gene Harris several times, but I've met other jazz musicians from time to time. Janie Harris did an incredible job in telling the story of her husband-one of the stellar jazz pianists-perhaps the best blues pianist ever! It would have been very easy for Janie to gloss over some of the uncomfortable stories or even ignored them. Instead she displayed trem. Elegant Soul book Bonnie Sommers This was a great surprise.
