"Englishly Witty and Full of Photos and Facts" according to Bud Sturguess. The politics, events, dates, and discographies of Pink Floyd have been exhaustingly well-documented over the years, particularly on internet fan sites. But the first official history of the band by one of its members, drummer (and only member to remain in the band and never leave throughout its multi-decade run) Nick Mason, is worth the thirty bucks or soas long as it's the only Pink Floyd biography you plan to buy in your lifetime.Mason's structure of Pink Floyd's story is solid, even if his account of the more tense "battle of words" period from the late 70s to mid-80s leav. A very good but not quite definative addition. Excellent Pictures.! J. R. Cagle Nick Mason's "Inside Out" is a nice history of the band with excellent pictures and written in a personal yet professional manner which makes it an enjoyable read. Although, I think there are a few better written books out there most notably "Saucearful of Secrets" and "In the Flesh" this book is a very close third and definately worth picking up if you are a Pink Floyd fan. The pictures do make the book the best from a photograph/story point of view and Nick comes accross as very astute even if just a little guarded. It's nice and very thick so its worth the money.
