I have dozens of similar books but to be frank , no book can make you an expert player there is no magic pill. These books are good to learn the basic techniques but it is the practice practice and practice that take you there. If one can afford then getting personal (face to face) lessons is the best, don't go to a big sho, even somebody with couple of years of playing experience would suffice.. Personally I think THIS book is the best harp book for beginners While alot of Gindick's books receive credit for being the best for an absolute beginner to start playing harmonica, I have to say that I feel this one is. I have Gindick's material as well. Its good. But if you are completely new to the harp. This starts with music foundations (scales, scale exercises, theory, etc) that I feel alot of other books miss and skip straight to playing cross harp, or blues. Not to mention it was written by arguably one of the greatest harp players alive.
