He is a great fan and does provide some nice insights. The book does allow us an avenue to mourn the loss of a larger than life figure and to frame it in a palatable context. It's not a must read but Bowie fans. Filled With Mistakes Sheffield's love for Bowie apparently didn't extend to doing any actual research - there's practically a factual mistake or misinterpretation of lyrics on just about every other page of this quickie book (he brags in the intro how it was written in 30 days).
