About the AuthorJoel McIver is the author of 20 books on music (another 30 exist in translation).  His best-known book is 2004's Justice For All: The Truth About Metallica - also published by Omnibus Press - which has sold close to 50,000 copies in several languages.  He regularly appears on radio and TV and contributes to many British and international magazines.  He can be contacted on joelmciver.

Slipknot: UnmaskedAgain explores this unlikely and tragic evolution, with new chapters covering the band's career to date.  It also asks what their future will be. It's now a decade since the first volume appeared, and in that time Slipknot have evolved into a completely different band from the one that first emerged into the limelight in 1999.  The band's music is darker, deeper and more mature after four studio albums, three DVDs and a live release.  Most strikingly, the sudden death o f their bass player Paul Gray in 2010 has changed the face and the attitude of the group, although their commercial profile is, if anything, greater than ever.  . The first edition of this book published in 2001 followed the band from their inception in Des Moines, Iowa in the mid-90s through to the release of their second album; an updated edition followed in 2003

Not only does it greatly portray the lives of slipknot and there many memebers, but unlike alot of other biographical books, i sincerally enjoy reading it. Im earnestly suprised about the lack of reviews, cause let me tell you, this book is so worth the 10 bucks. :D. All Hope Is Gone Just finished this book this morning. Good book, although I wish it would've gotten a little more in depth about the band members' backgrounds and whatnot.
