McCleaster "Solos For The Clarinet Player" (with piano accompaniment), selected and edited by Arthur H. Christmann is an wonderful collection of delightful solos for the intermediate to early advanced clarinet student. Whether preparing "Tambourin" by Gossec, "Adagio and Allegro" by Handel, "Fantasty Piece No. 1" by Schumann, "Adagio" from "Clarinet Concerto K622" by Mozart, or choosing one of the other si. "Not Very Usable!" according to D. A. Nelson. What a shame! No clicks at the beginning of tracks to establish the tempo and prompt the performer to start. This makes this CD almost useless except for with pieces that begin with piano alone. It would also have been nice to have recordings of performances in addition to accompaniment alone. Concert and Contest and just about every other book accompaniment CD address both these issues. Schirme
