--Daphne Durham. These hundred or so interviews piece together the complex back-story of a hugely talented, big-hearted guy who could make the funniest people in the business laugh with "just a look," but whose vulnerability and "puppy dog personality" charmed friends and family into letting him off the hook--preventing him from getting help when he needed it most. Made up mostly of excerpts from intimate interviews with family, childhood friends, famous castmates, and writers, The Chris Farley Show is a vivid portrait of a performer, told plainly by the people who knew him best at every stage of his life. Funny and heart wrenching, The Chris Farley Show is a must-read for f

"An excellent book for Chris Farley fans and people interested in addiction." according to Brian W.. This book is full of great recollections of Chris Farley. I grew up in the 90's when Farley was hugely popular among my age group. I loved his comedy. This book is sad in that it details the downfall of Farley and his enormous drug and alcohol problems. Chris's Father was also an addict and Chris probably inherited the disease from him.It was a sad but worthwhile book. I miss Chris Farley.. A TRIP TO THE SIDE OF CHRIS FARLEY THAT MOST NEVER KNEW ABOUT Brad Nealon Everyone has seen the SNL skits, everyone has seen Tommy Boy, Black Sheep, everything that this man has ever released publicly has been dissected and genuinely LOVED by almost everyone who witnessed any of it.Of course everyone knew Chris did drugs, if you didn't know that he used before he died then you were aware when he did; he died of an overdose of cocaine and heroin. What a lot of people DON'T KNOW is revealed in this book. Told by his family and closest friends, the reader is taken on a roller-coaster ride of what was Chris Farley's life. It's amazingly heart-felt yet at times . Geneva Mae Lewis said Addiction Isn't Funny. If you have ever known an addict, the opening speech that starts out this book will get your attention. Chris Farley, in his own words to a group of recovering addicts at the Hazelden Institute, embodies the convincing hope, the bravado, the believability, and unfortunately, the denial of substance abusers. This story uses oral history from family and friends to describe the life and death of comedian Chris Farley. I was saddened to the core by this book, and applaud this effort. Comedy is borne of pain, and Chris Farley is no exception. A complicated mix is examined: weight issues
