Excellent book for all my ghetto folks This is like my fifth copy. I always end up lending it and losing it. I always refer to this book as the "game changer" in my personal life. I had trouble embracing smartness having grown up in South Central and reading this in high school on my own made all the difference. It made sense of my own internal conflict and made me embrace just who I am.. I read this book after reading Iceberg Slim's last novel Doom Fox and found that Ice had written an incredible and very telling introduction.A friend of mine recently asked me `Hey, why you are reading that?' and with a tone that inferred that there was probably nothing to be gained or redeemable from the book.
