From a Professor Dude I am an instructor using this text in a course on white collar crime. I will probably not use it again. The primary reason is that the author's conceptualization of white collar crime is so loose that the term loses all meaning. By his account ANY offense committed within the context of ANY occupation by ANYONE is a white collar crime. For example, a professor who rapes a student; a soldier who tortures an enemy; and even a student who cheats on an exam . Do not buy DiamondDelts Awful author. This book was used for a graduate course I took in criminology, however it was written at a 5th grade reading level. To add insult to injury, the author often interjects his personal stories and jokes that are a complete waste of time. Very unprofessional writing. Hated reading this book.. Required Reading was informative and easier for the class. Cynthia Soukup The book presented a number of scenarios and examples to better explain the topic in each chapter. The glossary and definitions were easy to locate and studying was easier to navigate through. I am glad my professor picked this book.
