I have spent a fortune on books that are suppose to teach you to play Harmonica. None worked. I ordered this book and cd but I still didnt think it would work. I listened to the cd and it takes you from simple harmonica to learning Blues riffs. It has play along music which David tells you what to do. I learned from listening and playing. I can play along with any blues, folk, and country music. I am amazed at how fast I could do this.It took me an hour to learn. I'm not kidding. This is the best book and cd I have ever seen. After stumbling through the Dummies Harmonica book, this was a breath of fresh air. The layout is simple and it does concentrate on playing--no theory, no confusing Germanic style of playing (single note). Most of what one learns is from the CD with the book as back up. Mine also came with a Mojo harmonica which is not noted. It's a cheapie but nice to get a little something extra. I will be buying more of David's books. His style of writing is humorous and educating. I was also influenced to buy this product from the review above (I'm 56).. It really works!
