A Candid, Colorful Snapshot of Some of America's Most Celebrated Personalities Paul Douglas Barry ZeVan has rubbed elbows with celebrities, politicians, entertainers and some of the nation's most notable luminaries over the years. What he discovered is shocking: they're not that much different than the rest of us. They have their foibles, quirks and anxieties, and I was fascinated by some of the behind-the-scenes stories, anecdotes and memories. Barry is. A story years in the making but worth the wait. I have just finished reading "My Life Among The Giants," by longtime friend Barry ZeVan. Barry and I first met and worked together as staff announcers at a small Missoula, Montana, radio station KBTK in 1959. I enjoyed his recollection of an incident described on page 9 and our roles in re-creating play-by-play of an away baseball game of the Missoula Timber jacks
I don’t know many celebrities, so what was particularly interesting for me was to read how ordinary/nice so many of them are and that they’re not ten feet tall.
