"Pocket-size collector's edition." according to David Dusty Cupples. Nice collector's item. What you might call a pocket-size coffee table edition, if that makes sense. It's small enough you could literally carry it in your pocket. Filled with nice shots of Bob, some enlightening exposition by Roger Steffens (#8 Most Influential Person in Reggae, as selected by the Jamaica Observer). More a quick study and source of inspiration than an in-depth study. Makes a nice gift for the Marley fan. One of the most surprising things you'd expect out of me, a 15 year old skate punk kid, is my collection of books. Big and small, short and long, all of my books are spanned on a shelf system that runs around my room. An those are just the good ones. The really good ones go in my night table drawer. This is one of them. Bob Marley is and was one of the most inflential people not only in my life, but in many others as well. This book not only shows that, it also shows the feels and vibes of Caribbean life during his time. It richly illustrates reggae in general, racial boundaries, and social problems of Marley's time. It is a vividly pa. "Inspiration" according to Aaron D. Wood. Bob Marley is a legend, we all know that. As one African American, he had the power to change an entire country that was in the middle of a major dispute. I knew this information previously to reading this book. However, I didn't know nearly as much as I do now. I'm not going to give any information from the book, you can read it on your own, but I will tell you that for the small amount of pages this book has, there is still a ton of very good information and insight into Marley's life. As with any biographies, there is some slow and boring parts, but these do not even scratch the surface on the rest of this amazing book. The pictures
