The style may be a bit dry, as others have stated, but none of these people are incredibly flamboyant anyway (70s costumes aside!). I learned a lot more about each of the members than I ever knew before, which was very satisfying. Author Palm is meticulous in his detailing of the lives of all four band members and their manager Stig Anderson. Perhaps there is a bit too much detail in this book for casual readers, but the writing style is so engaging that I felt compelled to complete it.I see there is a planned updated 600-page edition to be released in September. This book has 554 pages, and ends circa 2002. For $5.00 more, you can read 46 pages that will presumably take ABBA thru 2008. I'll read those last pages in a cushy chair in the bookstore.
