"Essential exercises" according to Mary A. Beutick. Daily essentials - must have !. The next step. After having worked through all of the exercises in Taffanel and Gaubert, my flute teacher suggested this as the next venture. The exercises are certainly challenging in a bit different way from T&G. It is not realistic to criticize such studies, they are what they are. It is up to the student to make the effort to master them - no whining! It is all good.. Carina Castro said It DOES have English directions!. Even though it says Spanish edition, there are captions next to it in English. I needed this book and because I am also fluent in Spanish I got this version because all the English versions were sold out. I haven't done all of the exercises but so far but it is helping me in my technique.
