SATANIC RITUALS.For most people this is the stuff of nightmares, horror movies, folklore, and superstition. Schooled in the rituals of exorcism, and an eyewitness to the reality of demonic possession, Ralph Sarchie has documented a riveting chronicle of the inexplicable that gives a new shape to the shadows in the dark.In Beware the Night, he takes readers into the very hierarchy of a hell on earth to expose the grisly rituals of a Palo Mayombe priest; a young girl whose innocence is violated by an incubus; a home invaded by the malevolent spirit of a supposedly murdered nineteenth-century bride; the dark side of a couple who were literally, the neighbors from hell; and more. Nonfiction not Hollywood The negative reviews for this book seem to come from people looking for the movie version of The Exorcist. This is not Hollywood. It's not terror in a conventional sense. If you want to be scared, unless you havea good imagination to really understand how slow and insidious these kinds of encounters can be,this book is going to disappoint. It is not a horror novel nor is it the story the movie was based on.These are, if you can believe them, true accounts. The writing isn't Shakespeare, but it's a quick, easy read. Ra. The Haunted There are events that EMS (nurses, doctors, medics, police, fire dept) have seen in their line of work that they will admit simply has no scientific explanation. In clinical experience, patterns emerge and then you sometimes see for your own eyes that not everything can be scientifically explained. The author of this book describes exactly these types of experiences from his perspective and he writes with such honestly, clarity, and description that it makes you fear the dark spiritual unknown more than you ever tho. NOT scary, useful information, prayers AND tangents Hot Hands NOT terrifying I don't resonate with the fearful reviews. I found more comfort than fear in this book.I think this book has some good information anyone interested in the occult, whether you believe in God or not, should read objectively. There is good information woven into the 'stories'but I was not scared by them, rather felt empowered by the author's view of hope in God.Things that stood out for me; most of the unexplained activity seems to come from demons, they can draw a person to a house (like I was drawn to
