Illiterate Borrower Calls Hacker Terminology "Racist!" Sleepy Head The writing style of this textbook put me right to sleep. It was written down to the reader. Worse, there were all sorts of disgusting racist comments written in the margins and between the lines. One of these recurring moronic slurs was a complaint that the book is racist because it refers to "white hats" as good hackers and "black hats" as evil hackers. How ridiculous is this? The dope that wrote this is unaware that this is common parlance among hackers and digital law enforcement. Between the turgid style and inane co. I recommend renting the book if you can This is a required book for a Master's level college course. The book itself is okay, the information is interesting, and maybe it is just the class but the reading does not really explain what I am supposed to be looking for or learning. I rented the book for this very reason. The resale value is not very high, so selling it would be worth the effort. I recommend renting the book if you can.
