"Really Cool Book" according to Kathy Kelley. I ordered Eagles Taking It To The Limit after the untimely death of Glenn Frey. I've been a fan since they dropped the first album but thought of them as the band collectively and not necessarily as the amazing individual musicans they have proven to be This book is a nice inside look at the guys, their peers and an overall insight into the music business du. Limitless Alternately obsequious and defensive, this book was disappointing on almost all levels. There are myriad pictures, as promised, but the majority are posed publicity stills rather than candid snaps, and therefore boring. If the author had devoted as much space and effort to detailed “behind-the-scenes” reporting of the Eagles’ success and im. A nice picture book, but nothing new here. I am an Eagles fan, and I'm a Ben Fong-Torres fan, so this book seemed like a natural for me. I'd read his Gram Parsons book "Hickory Wind", which was a great read, so I was hoping for a similarly thorough tome on the Eagles. That's not what I got by any stretch.
