It tells the story of a man who was able to thwart all manner of obstacles and become a country music legend who influenced numerous other great artists despite battling his own inner demons. The story is told with candor and love by his brother, David, who knew Lefty's talents, his compassion and his faults and accepted them all as a part of the greater man.. David did a wonderful job of putting together the many memories of friends and family to create a colorful picture of Lefty Frizzell's life. This book is a must read for all country music fans. I not only took away a better knowledge of Lefty's life, but of the struggles of "making it" in the country music field. I couldn't put the book down until it was finished.
