I have casually searched for years on biographical information on Paul Chambers. This book gives what little information there is. So for that alone I value the book. It's mostly reviews of his recordings with extra space taken for his major works and contributions. However, unless you have an academic knowledge of music & jazz, it can be very dense reading.. "the frst PC Bio" according to S. L. Leitch. Although it's great to have this first attempt at an exhaustive bio of PC, this one has too many spelling errors and other mistakes in the discography and text, as well as unnecessary opinions, to be completely satisfactory
