Tammy Mal did amazing job researching not only the history I was blown away by how well written this book was. I was born and raised in Susquehanna County, moved around for 20 years as an Army wife, and am now back in Susquehanna County. While growing up I always heard little tidbits of the murders that had happened in our county, but never the full details. Tammy Mal did amazing job researching not only the history, but the overall personality of each case. She also described each community in a way that allows the readers to fully understand how close the communities of Susquehanna County were (and still are). She told each case in a way that made me not want to put the book down. I can give Tammy. "Area connection helpful" according to Amazon Customer. Three generations of my family lived in Susquehanna co. so I was looking for anything familiar and found it in mention of prosecuting attorney Edward Little. Not a very flattering portrait at that, but I grew up hearing his name from my grandparents as a person who had hunted our farm lands and by than was known as Judge Ed Little. It wasn't a connection I anticipated but I did enjoy the surprise. The section on research difficulties may be of interest to anyone who has struggled w/their own ge. Sue Baier I found it very interesting. It amazed me to see how murders were solved back then. I like that the story didn't end in jail. I got to hear what happened the rest of their lives.
