--Tim Appelo. There's squalor: Before the Mafia helped him through his career slump, Frank walked past an Eddie Fisher movie marquee and promptly attempted suicide. For Sinatra fans, 2000 was a very good year. But, beware the common belief that the Mafia stole the election for JFK--this is dubious--and don't miss out on all of the more interesting stories in the book. The most publicized item in the book concerns Frank's kind words with the Mafia on behalf of JFK's campaign. And she did it her way. Besides inside family stuff, Tina knows about Frank's life from having produced the CBS miniseries about him. Beautifully written, at times painfully honest, tribute to a brilliant saloon singer and father. I loved this book and believe Tina's written words perfectly reflect this man's raw determination, drive and will to leave this world a far better place than he found it. His flaws, misgivings, shortcomings and other admitted failures only made this man more human than idol. He may have failed at times, yet he never stopped trying to do the right thing for his fa. Review of My Father's Daughter by Tina Sinatra Ellen beautifully written and very heartfelt. For those who loved Frank, the end of his life was very hard to read. I truly felt Tina's pain.
