Written in 1980, it's closest to the actual events (and people's. essential for Nick Drake fans If you're looking at this book, you're probably a serious Nick Drake fan. You need this. I think it's the best book about Nick Drake that's been published, and that's not a knock on the books written by Patrick Humphries or Trevor Dann, which are both excellent. This one just makes me feel like I'm closer to the real Nick Drake. Maybe it's just because it was written (but only now translated to English) before the Nick Drake phenomenon happened, so it captures the feeling of discovering Nick a little better, I don't know.
