This is simply a fantastic examination of Coye's drawings for a spate of anthologies This is simply a fantastic examination of Coye's drawings for a spate of anthologies and single author collections from the 1970s, spurred by a group of editors who became enamored with the pulp era of horror fiction (roughly 1930s-1950s). Besides all the outstanding reproductions of Coye's wonderfully grotesque and inimitable drawings, the reader is treated to an engaging account of supernatural fiction publishing of the era, which was a wonderful time of Whispers magazine and the anthologies of editors like Karl Edward Wagner, Les Daniel. Great Book of Coye's Work Any book dedicated to the genius of artist Lee Brown Coye is a good thing, but this one stands above some of the others. Nicely done with lots of Coye's work reproduced.
