Warm & wise, written from the perspective of a clear-eyed wife, the book documents Baker's life and passion, limning a love of history as told in the lines and lives of wooden boats and their uses. I'd heard something of his talents via Mystic Seaport & Woodenboat magazine, this book goes a long way toward revealing the character and integrity of the man..
