For once, there is something for the reader who is interested in more than the sordid goings on of the early band.Very refreshing to hear of the musical influences and interests that inspired such a great performer. Also, very well written and told with much to glean from the music and how it all was formed.I hope that others would appreciate it as much for what it has as for what it does not. I found the stories of family, friends and associates very interesting reading.If you are a serious fan, you. Consequently, the content is absent any insight into his thoughts, emotions, and motivations in both his career and his personal life.The first few chapters track Plant's childhood, but this is told from the perspective of outsiders and long ago school friends.
