"Rare Memoir Told With Remarkable Candor" according to R PRIUS. First off, I am a fan of Rod Stewart's and I may be a tad biased though I really don't think so.This book is interesting and loaded with Stewart's self-deprecating humor which makes it the easiest of reads. He takes his readers through his childhood and upbringing, the three wives, eight kids, and the much publicized romances. Couple that with a many decade long career, life on the road, career and personal ups and even some downs and the end product is a page turner from start to finish. As Stewart has proven time and again, h. Flamo said A Life of Excess and, finally, maturity. If you love stories of the excesses of 60's and 70's rock n roll, you'll enjoy this. Rod is quite humorous His writing and story telling style reminds me of David Niven in "The Moon's A Balloon". Great antidotes in a self-deprecating style. And endurance! My God, all the women in his life. There is more to Rod than his music, women and football. He indeed opens himself to readers in this.. A rollicking good read from legend Rod Stewart Rod Stewart's autobiography is surprisingly fun. His voice and droll sense of humor are front and center. He doesn't spare himself much and the marriages and divorces are handled without too much confidential details but you find that you can see enough without violating his family's privacy. Highly recommended!
