The only clunker in the bunch is Hotel California, which is, as you can imagine, not much like the original recording (understatement). I have a blast playing Blueberry Hill and Dancing Queen, t. is a lot of fun to play with. I am just returning to playing sax after Fun!! This book, written at level 2-3 is a lot of fun to play with. "No lyrics, but good for a beginner that want to play in a band." according to Frank Beeckman. * The bad:There are no lyrics for these 12 songs. That's why I deduct 1 star. These great songs are simplified versions of the original. I rate them at the beginner level. Maybe, one would do better with a 1,200 song fake book for the money.* The good:It has a fully orchestrated accompaniment CDOne can buy the optional piano accompaniment on CD.The RollingStone series also sell the compatible arrangements for other instruments which allows you to play with some friends on Flute, Clarinet, Alto sax, Tenor, Trumpet, Horn in F, and Trombone.Obviously, there is also a volume 1 version.* Verdict:Great book to use in a beginnin. Waynemia said Nice. It has two tracks per song so that is nice. I like the arrangements. Generally close to the recorded version. The performance sounds like a synth Tenor to me. It is better than the xylophone on most of the other play-alongs.I am considering getting V1 also.
