Tungsten Hippo said A good read for the casually curious. Maybe there are longer, more thorough books about Hank Williams, as the first reviewer notes. But I was certainly never going to read them. I head enough Hank Williams growing up to be curious about his story, and this book statisfied that curiosity. It also placed Williams and his music in a larger context, which adds a level to the music that I certainly didn't appreciate before reading this book.. too short Denis J. Kirkaldy Peterson is a scholar whose insights are excellent. But this book is far too brief. There are numerous good books about Hank Williams and this does not add much to what is already there.
