Jody K. said Love of singing, skiing make this an enjoyable read. I first met John Winn on the slopes of Powderhorn Mountain Resort, near Grand Junction. His love of skiing was evident and as I heard him play the songs he has written over the years, his love of singing and songwriting was up there with skiing.John’s book is written in a genuine folksy tone, much like the songs he writes. In it, John describes how events in his life came together to meld the activities that bring him joy and put meaning in. A fun romp through folk music and sports from New York City to Telluride A fascinating personal history of music and skiing. I enjoyed the book, laughing out loud several times, which is unusual for me. His love of skiing eventually pulled him north to the state of Maine, where the rural lifestyle better fit his background and personality. . where he learned to teach skiing at Arapahoe Basin, played guitar and sang to guests at night by the hug
