A great deal of history was revealed throughout this book—not only I bought this non-fiction novel because I thought it would be of interest to me because of my Williamston, MI roots. Wow! That was only a part of the story. This book was much, much more. The vivid descriptions of the crime, the scene, and the characters were all portrayed with excellence. The ravages of intense criminal insanity can only be imagined by most of us. Mr. Sadler did an outstanding job showing us how life must have been lived by all involved—the perpetrator, her family, neighbors, and . Susan Norman said An interesting read. However, the author makes constant statements about the different subjects' thoughts, feelings, and motives without making citations; I would assume the reasons for this were to make a better narrative and because there is a lack of actual information out there on this subject. When this is done in biographies, it undermines the author's credibility. With this all said, it is an interesting read about a crime few would ever know about if this book hadn't shone a light on it. To make it more comprehensive.
