S Murdock said don't forget the CD !!. Be careful, this book comes with a CD and not very many of the used book sellers are saying anything about including the CD. I bought a used one, it did not contain the CD. :-(. "I want it for my students!" according to Veronica. I am in the process of re-writing our district's middle school music curriculum, and I want to order classroom sets of this book for our students! The language used is accessible to students in the middle-to-high school levels. The reading level may be on the high end for 6th graders, but should be appropriate for most of our 7th and 8th graders. It covers SO much from SO many years of American music!
