Author Gayel Pitchford is a contest award-winning old-time fiddler and concertmaster of the Tehachapi Community Orchestra. Pitchford has a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies from California State University, Los Angeles, and a Master of Arts degree from the University of Redlands.
