History more than Art History S.L. Singer I was pretty excited to read this book because I am a Goya fan and there was so much praise for the author. But, I was disappointed. I know that historical information is essential to art history, but I felt the historical background completely overwhelmed Goya's story. I felt the book was tough to get through with all the facts and people being thrown at you. I also did not appreciate the small pol. Haven't read it yet.
