Debbie Craven said Five Stars. Thorough!. I would recommend this book to someone who's really Nico I would recommend this book to someone who's really, really, REALLY into the Smiths. It's unbelievably thorough. The first half of the book is mostly about Morrissey's life prior to the Smiths, but also his dad's childhood in Ireland and a little bit of Marr, Rourke, and Joyce's backgrounds. The bits about Morrissey's experiences in school are interesting in terms of context for his lyrics, but once he graduates the text bec. "A well written and researched work." according to A Customer. In Morrissey and Marr, The Severed Alliance, Johnny Rogan gives Smiths fans a wonderful look inside the most influential band of the 80's with a great feel for the subject and many pictures.
