Some People are Crazy What a fantastic book, I could not put it down. A real insight into the life of the big man. A must for all John Martyn fans. It relates his whole life in music and words, what an excellent poet and romantic he was as well as a very crazy man.He will be sadly missed.. Knew him, love him kelly cargo John,You were so good to me when I was a pup just cuising thru southern england in 1977, I had the good fortune to meet, play with on stage in heathfield, babysat his kids and had him come in drunk at one a.m. and an old john wayne movie was on the telly. He said he'd been out dancing and had the fifth sticking out his vest pocket-"I always wanted to write a so. He really isn't all that nice to a lot of people I kind of wish John Martyn hadn't been such a prick. If you have a super warm spot in your heart for the man you might want to stick to the music. If this was written while he was alive, imagine what was left out to protect him! To his credit John Martyn admits to most of his foibles (Evil is a better word) and there is an awful lot of funny anecdotes. The book
