I was interested in finding a biography on him just to get his side of the story about him rerecording nearly all of the drum tracks on Color and the Shape (which I did) but was glad that the book ended up being a good read. I had no idea how much he was a part of the 80s DC punk scene and there was a lot of good info about that, his . An interesting read, not just for dedicated fans Three days ago I bought "This is a call" and for the first time in a very long time I found it hard to put my book back down. I didn`t buy it because I`m a dedicated follower of Grohl (although I do love his music) but simply because I had been reading a lot of classic literature and I needed something contemporary for a change.
